Community Support

Community Engagement

Certus wants to make a positive and long term contribution to the communities in which we operate by encouraging our colleagues to give back to their communities. This is a key part of our core values and is reflected in the actions of our colleagues.

We encourage and support a proactive and caring tradition of assisting those in need primarily through volunteering and assisted fundraising events.

The Certus Charities Committee

Certus Charity Committee works with many charitable and not-for-profit organisations across the whole of Ireland.

Certus continues to find ways to expand its community program and encourage its colleagues to donate their time and resources to their communities and favourite charities.

Some of the charities that Certus and its colleagues will be supporting in 2014

Pieta House

Pieta House

Pieta House offers those affected by suicide or deliberate self-harm an intensive, solution-focused, and entirely free programme of therapy by trained and accredited therapists.

Their aim is to provide assistance and guidance to those experiencing difficulty and who felt that they had nowhere to turn.  Pieta House currently have two centres and two outreach programmes in Dublin and one centre in Limerick, Cork, Tipperary and Galway.  Their vision is that no one should be more than 100 kilometres away from a Pieta House Centre.

Certus selected Pieta House as our Corporate Charity Partner for 2014. Colleagues are working closely with Pieta House throughout the year to raise an incredible €100k, which will help contribute to their Strategic Expansion Plan Phase 2 - 2014 to 2016.  Their strategic plan for Phase 2 is to open Pieta House centres in Donegal, Westmeath, the North East region and the South East region.  By the end of 2015 they aim to have Pieta House centres in ten counties across the country and to have achieved their vision that no person in the Republic of Ireland is more than 100 Kilometres from their service.
