Community Support

Community Engagement

Certus wants to make a positive and long term contribution to the communities in which we operate by encouraging our colleagues to give back to their communities. This is a key part of our core values and is reflected in the actions of our colleagues.

We encourage and support a proactive and caring tradition of assisting those in need primarily through volunteering and assisted fundraising events.

The Certus Charities Committee

Certus Charity Committee works with many charitable and not-for-profit organisations across the whole of Ireland.

Certus continues to find ways to expand its community program and encourage its colleagues to donate their time and resources to their communities and favourite charities.

LauraLynn Childrens hospice

LauraLynn Children's Hospice

LauraLynn Children's Hospice supports children with life limiting conditions and their families by providing high quality transitional care, home support, respite, crisis and end-of-life care. Their services are available to children with high medical and nursing needs from birth to 18. In Ireland there are over 1,400 children with life limiting conditions. Aside from the care Laura Lynn provides, there is a limited paediatric palliative care programme available for families. Since September 2011, LauraLynn House has cared for 104 families or over 300 children per year. The Hospice or House "home away from home" as Jane McKenna (Founder) prefers to call it, is about respite for the family as a whole.

Certus selected Laura Lynn Children’s Hospice as our Corporate Charity Partner for 2013. Colleagues are working closely with Laura Lynn throughout the year to raise an incredible €100k, which will help provide a self-contained designated Consultation Room and Family Area for their new Clinical Psychology and Bereavement Support Program.
